Guest Speaker:  Laurie Montague

SouthWoods Christian Church, Overland Park, KS

Laurie and her husband, Greg moved to Overland Park, Kansas to plant a new church in 1990.  Twenty years later, they continue to minister together at SouthWoods Christian Church helping people to "Know God, grow into fully devoted followers, and discover God's purpose."

In addition to her role as a pastor's wife, Laurie has served as Director of Children's Ministry & Women's Ministry and currently is the Director of Adult Ministries (providing support and leadership for Women's Ministry. Life Groups and Spiritual Formation at SouthWoods).

She is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University where she earned degrees in Christian Education and Journalism.  She also received her Elementary Teaching Certification from Indiana University and taught second grade before moving to Kansas City.

Laurie has a passion for the local church, teaching God's Word, and helping women grow in their relationship with God and others.  As a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, she has had the privilege of leading Bible Studies for player's wives for the past 5 years.  She enjoys good coffee, great conversation and spending time with her husband, 2 sons, Joey (a college freshman), and Josh (a high school senior), and Sam (a 100 pound yellow lab).

And she also is the little sister of Cheri Wallace.
