Mission Trips

2010

Every January, Lifeline Christian Missions hosts a "Women's Work Crusade" where women around the U.S. come together in Grande Goave, Haiti for one purpose - to serve the needs of the Haitian chidren.  Imagine looking into the eyes of an innocent 5 year old Haitian boy only to see that the shoes on his feet are not only dirty and worn, but have no soles, and the socks on his little feet have simply rotted away.  Now imagine the smile on his face and God's love pouring out to him as he is fitted for a brand new pair of socks and shoes!

Concord Christian Church has the awesome privilege of participating in this life-changing ministry by collecting and distributing new socks and shoes to more than 400 children in the village of Vieux Cayes in Haiti. Through this ministry, we are not only able to provide a basic necessity, but are able to show God's love through prayer and simple acts of kindness.

In addition, Concord Christian Church also fields a work team to Haiti each year to build homes, bring medicines and clothing, and assist in distribution of these items to the needy in the area of Grande Goave.  Our church has been so blessed over the past 8 years to have been a part of these ministries.  We invite you to consider joining us in showing the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Haiti, and to be doubly blessed in return.

GET YOUR PASSPORTS READY

Short Term Mission Trips are a large part of Concord Christian's efforts to fulfill Christ's command to make disciples.  Opportunities continue to become available to work with people from other countries and cultures as God calls us to go into all the world.  You are invited to attend an informational meeting Sunday, April 11th at 4pm in the Worship Center, to hear of the tremendous opportunities to travel to other parts of the world to experience the joy that comes by serving others.  Those who have been on trips returned "changed" by the power of Christ through the mission experience.  If you would like to receive information about the opportunities for trips in 2010 and 2011, you will not want to miss this meeting.  You will find out what it takes to go on a trip and what trips will be available in the next two years.  For more information or if you have any questions, contact Sharon White or Hollie Gregory.
