...Here is a success story from the Crisis Pregnancy Center regarding the sanctity of human life.

Nikki came in with her friend to get a free pregnancy test from the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  She was 19, scared and an unmarried college student.  When asked by her counselor, "What do you plan to do if this test comes out positive?", she answered, "Abortion.".  Her fears became reality as the second line indicating a positive test appeared in the results window.  She was scared to tell her Mom, scared about school, worried about money and her reputation.  The Crisis Pregnancy Center provides ultrasound every 2 weeks and it just so happened that there were ultrasound appoints available the very next day.  Nikki agreed to think about her options and to have an ultrasound.  Typically, a baby's heartbeat cannot be detected on the ultrasound machine until 6-8 weeks and Nikki was only 5 weeks along when she had her ultrasound.  Her counselor prayed for a miracle and God delivered.  As the image of her baby came onto the screen...there was the heart...visibly and strongly beating!  Nikki cried as she saw the undeniable evidence of LIFE within her body.  She was still not sure how she would break the news to her Mom so she agreed to have another ultrasound in 2 weeks.  At her 2nd ultrasound, Nikki was set on choosing LIFE for her child, she couldn't believe how much her baby had grown in just 2 weeks.  She used the ultrasound pictures as a way to tell her Mom.  I am thrilled to share with you that Nikki gave birth to a healthy baby boy on December 29, 2009.  He weighed 8 lbs. and was 21 inches long.  Both baby and Mom are happy with Nikki's decision for LIFE!  Nikki says that it was a very hard and scary year, but with her son in her arms, she is very happy with the outcome.
