Why We're Here

Concord Christian Church exists to "Connect People to Christ and Each Other." At Concord Christian Church we understand that a relationship with Jesus Christ is just the beginning, not the end. The Biblical reality is that God calls us to make disciples - fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. To assist believers in answering God's call, we have identified three connecting points for growth: Christ, Church, and Community.

In worship we connect with Christ.

Our desire is to provide a relevant and meaningful experience where together we come in contact with the presence of God, and we express our love and gratitude to Him. This experience is then translated into our everyday lives. Worship must be more than an event; it must also be a daily experience of His presence and the expression of one's heart and attitude toward God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

The second connecting point is Church.

This is more than connecting to the church through membership; it's about real relationships. These happen best in small, relational communities; what we call LIFEgroups. In LIFEgroups we grow, pray, help, encourage, and share our lives with one another. LIFEgroups are one way believers can gain knowledge and wisdom, develop Christian character, and practice the spiritual values we need to relfect Christ in our lives.

We believe it is a vital part of the believer's life to connect to the Community in service that makes a difference.

Part of connecting people to Christ and each other involves reaching beyond ourselves and the church walls into the local community to make a difference in the lives of others. This is both a church-wide and individual privilege and provides a tangible expression of Christ's love.
